Biography

Basheer, known to his patients as Bash, graduated with a BSc in Physiotherapy in 2001 and brings over 20 years of clinical and elite sports physiotherapy experience to the practice. In 2008, he completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Sport and Orthopaedics (SPT 1) with distinction, solidifying his expertise in sports injuries and orthopaedic rehabilitation. Bash has worked extensively with provincial, national, and international sports teams, providing high-performance physiotherapy across multiple sporting disciplines. His career includes working with the National Cricket Plascon Academy in 2002 and the Highveld Lions during the Supersport Series and Standard Bank Cup competitions in 2003. From 2004 to 2010, Basheer served as an official physiotherapist for the Golden Lions Rugby Union, gaining invaluable experience managing elite rugby injuries. In 2006, he was appointed as the official physiotherapist for the World 15 Rugby Team and the European/African Legends Soccer Match, further expanding his international exposure. Between 2009 and 2011, Bash worked as an official physiotherapist for the South African U16, U18 High Performance, and SA Schools Teams, holding SARU accreditation. This role focused on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and performance optimisation for South Africa’s top young athletes. With a strong background in sports physiotherapy, orthopaedic rehabilitation, and evidence-based treatment, Basheer offers expert assessment and personalised care to athletes and non-athletes alike, helping patients return to full function safely and efficiently.
