Safiya Chicktay graduated from the University of The Western Cape in the year 2000. After graduating, worked at Polokwane Tertiary Hospital for 5 years including working as head of the Clinical Section for 1 year. Safiya Worked at SA Games in 2004. She also worked in the UK for 6 years thereafter in both NHS & Private Care covering ICU, Respiratory Care Unit, Medical,(—-), Post Surgical and Neurology. She completed various post graduate courses including Global Upper & Lower Quarters. She then completed a post graduate diploma in Orthopaedic Manipulatire Therapy & Three post graduate stand-alone modules in Sports Physiotherapy
