Senior Physio for Lions Rugby Company
Preven qualified from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1996. He started his first practice in Killarney and at St. John’s College in 1998 before moving the practice to the NHC Health Centre in Northcliff in 2003. In 2008, a second practice was started at the NHC Health Centre in Honeydew. Further post-graduate qualifications include an Advanced Diploma in Sports Physiotherapy in 2005 from WITS as well as completing his SPT 1 (Sports Physiotherapy 1) in Johannesburg in 2008. Preven has extensive work experience with sportsmen, especially in the rugby arena having been contracted to the Golden Lions Rugby Union for 12 years. During this time he was involved with the various Lions teams ranging from the Craven week team to the Vodacom Cup team. He has also worked with the World XV rugby team that toured the country in 2006 as well as the African and European Legends soccer match. The University of Johannesburg has also contracted Preven in the past to work with their athletes. In the past, Preven has also volunteered his time to assist the Soweto Rugby Club during their matches.
