Biography
Carly is a dedicated biokineticist with a strong passion for exercise-based rehabilitation and functional movement. Her journey into biokinetics began after sustaining an injury during high school, giving her first-hand insight into the transformative role that structured exercise plays in recovery and long-term health.
She completed her Bachelor of Health Sciences in Biokinetics with Honours from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2019 and has been an integral part of the practice ever since. Carly is deeply committed to helping patients improve their day-to-day function through personalised, evidence-based exercise programmes.
Carly has a particular interest in working with patients experiencing back conditions and knee injuries, focusing on improving strength, mobility, stability, and confidence in movement. Her rehabilitation programmes are tailored to each individual’s goals, whether returning to daily activities, sport, or improving overall physical wellbeing.
In addition to rehabilitation, Carly has a strong passion for Pilates, which she incorporates into both individual treatment plans and group classes. Her Pilates sessions focus on core stability, posture, movement control, and injury prevention, making them suitable for rehabilitation, conditioning, and long-term physical health.
Carly is known for her supportive, motivating approach and her ability to connect with patients, helping them move better, feel stronger, and achieve sustainable results through movement.
